What are Veneers?
Are your teeth severely stained, chipped or irregular? If so, you may be a great candidate for porcelain veneers.
A Veneer is a thin strip of porcelain that is placed on the front exterior of a tooth to improve its appearance and that of your overall smile!
Veneers require some tooth preparation to ensure long-lasting results. A small amount of the front surface of the tooth is removed (0.3 to 0.5 millimeter: about the thickness of a fingernail) to allow space for the porcelain. The dentist then takes an impression of your teeth which is then used to create your veneers. When completed, your teeth look like new, allowing you to smile with complete confidence!
Porcelain veneers are a great solution for the following problems:
- Permanently Stained or discolored teeth.
- Unsightly gaps between front teeth.
- Chipped teeth.
- Rough or jagged edges on front teeth.
- Teeth that are too small or large in proportion to rest of the mouth.
- Crooked or worn teeth.
